ViewSDK
is Nav3D's core software development toolkit, providing a
"platform" for our other software modules that receive
sensor inputs, import databases, and display that information
on a SV display. It allows you to incorporate navigation sensor
data, import a 3D environment representing the region of operation,
and add guidance and symbology information to create a SV
display that improves user performance and situational
awareness. Nav3D's ViewSDK is based on the following requirements
for real-world Synthetic Vision systems:
- Integrates
with a wide range of navigation sensors
- Supports
precise image registration on a global scale
- Works
with embedded hardware and operating systems
Feature
Highlights:
- Realtime
data input from multiple navigation sources such as GPS,
DGPS, intertial systems, etc.
-
Integrates with scene manager SDK's (such as Quantum3D's
OpenGVS), allowing import of Openflight, 3DS Max, and other
3D model formats
-
Import of OpenFlight, TerraPage, and TerraPage2 terrain
databases
-
Integrates with third-party terrain engines
-
Fully compatible with your OpenGL code - library functions
integrate with your existing code base
-
Large database support
-
Accurate image registration with flat-earth and round-earth
databases
-
Full control over angle of view
-
Texture and stroke fonts for symbolic overlay
-
Infinite internal and external views - orbiting cameras
respond to user input to look back at the user from any
angle, and flyable cameras allow the user to explore surroundings
without actually moving
- Software
applications built with ViewSDK work both in simulation
and in the operational environment
-
Can be used in conjunction with electro-optical, infrared,
and/or millimeter-wave sensors to create hybrid enhanced
vision displays
